Carlotta Ferrari's current research interest is in modal and polymodal music.
Together with Carson Cooman, who first developed the idea in 2005, she is researching on Restarting Pitch Space, a modal harmony system based on the transpositions of a scale fragment. More info here (in English) and here (in Italian).
